So....I went to Hammond for Cinco de Mayo to go eat at the BEST Mexican restaurant ever, Casa Garcia, with my sister. My mom happily babysat Maddy for me. I'm not a margarita drinker so I had their house made sangria....YUM! Well it was kind of late when we got back so I didn't want to drive back home so I just slept over. The next morning, Maddy woke up and I texted my mom to come get her, haha. So I got to sleep for an extra hour and a half! Yeah!! Then we got up and got dressed, I fed Maddy her lunch, and we went out to eat at another GREAT restaurant called Sister's Cafe. Seriously...I would move back to Hammond just for the food. Anyway, after that I was on my way home.
Today Mitch let me sleep in late again! And when I woke up I had a present! Maddy bought me my favorite candle for Mother's Day. (Circle E Bird of Paradise candle...LOVE it!) That was so sweet! Mitch had apparently taken her out when I was sleeping to buy it. Don't I have the sweetest family ever???
Tonight was Mom's Night OUT! All we did was go eat Mexican but I had a great time! It is so nice to get out every now and then with no baby and no husband and just talk with the girls! Although I did miss them and I was kind of sad when I got home and Maddy was already asleep. =( Next month we plan to go to a Corks and Canvas (for my New Orleans people) type thing that they ACTUALLY have in McComb. Crazy, right???? I'm so excited!
Well despite all the extra sleep I got the past two days I am still exhausted. I'm going get some apple juice and then snuggle up in bed. Before I go, here are some pictures, of course!!
This was from today. We took her swimming in her blow up pool in the yard and gave her a mohawk when she got out. This time she actually had some hair! YAY!
This was from the other day when I was trying to feed her dinner. Yes she still eats with her thumb in her mouth. I'm kind of worried she will never learn how to chew....but anyway. She had grabbed her spoon and flicked sweet potatoes on to her forehead. Oh my lovely child.
